Scholarship Rules

Donegal Laurel Highlands Rotary

1. Students applying for a scholarship must complete this application. An adult may help but the paragraph writing must be done by the student alone. The student will be asked to read the essay at the scholarship presentation.

2. All applications must be submitted to:

3. All applications must be submitted by May 20, 2009

4. A parent/adult must agree to transport the student to the workshop, camp or program if they are awarded a Rotary Scholarship.

5. Students must be of elementary school age (5 to 12 years old).

6. To qualify, students must attend one of the following schools:

C.N. Pritts Elementary

Springfield Elementary

Champion Christian School

Donegal Elementary

Mt. Zion Christian Academy

7. Participation in the May 27, 2008, 7:00 pm Rotary meeting is required for the student to receive their scholarship unless other arrangements are made in advance.

8. Due to limited budget, the scholarship may or may not cover transportation, registration and other costs of the workshop, camp or program.

9. These scholarships are funded through the community account of the Donegal Laurel Highlands Rotary.
